Summer 2017: Top Skateboarding Events across the UK

UK Independent Vert Series

An independently managed skateboarding vert competition. These comps don’t get too serious, they are truly about skating vert and having fun. 2017’s UK Independent Vert Series continues this month for Seaside Sessions on May 28th. The comp will run from 10am – 6pm at Blackpool’s Ramp City Skatepark. There will be a huge range of comps throughout the day. The UK ver series extend a warm welcome to skateboarders of all ages, abilities and genders. People are free to sign up on the day so get down and give it a shot! The House Skatepark ‘Heshpool Skate Jam’ – Holy Stoked Fundraiser June 17th

The House Skatepark presents the Heshpool Skate Jam, and will be raising funds for Holy Stoked. There will be a skate session starting from 5pm, and live music will kick off at 9pm, courtesy of the Lughole Crew. Amongst the bands playing will be Sidewalk pals Sievhead, who are getting ready to drop a new album. Skate Jams at the House Skatepark always promise a great night. Nass Festival

NASS Festival is a jam-packed weekend of raw action sports, music and crazy parties. Wherever you may be, if you’re moshing at main stage, raving in The Warehouse or watching our world class skateboarders and BMX riders killing it in the Pro Park, there’s not a minute of the day that isn’t going off at NASS. 2016 marked the first time that the iBMXff BMX World Championships returned to the UK after 30 years at NASS festival. It has now been announced that the iBMXff has sanctioned NASS to host the leading event for a second year running. Nass not only brings world class BMX comps to the UK. Skateboarding at NASS Festival brings together the world’s best athletes to compete in one of the biggest and most progressive contests you will ever witness.

Boardmasters Cornwall 9-13th August 2017

Boardmasters Festival is a yearly event held in Cornwall, which hosts the bests boarders in the world (both skaters and surfers). These comps are combined with some rad BMX comps and an awesome line up of artists to top it all off.  The headline acts for 2017 are The Two Door Cinema Club, Jamiroquai and Alt-J!  The festival welcomes a mix of pro boarders, riders and skaters with sports aficionados who just want to enjoy a piece of action!

Throughout the Summer

House of Vans

Always embracing and fuelling creative expression through art, music, skateboarding, BMX, street culture and fashion; the space offers a solid platform for the local communities to experience and engage with Vans’ ‘Off The Wall’ spirit. With creative expression at the forefront; The House of Vans London is showcasing an art gallery, a VansLab artist incubator space, cinema, live music venue, premium café and bars, gifting suite and skater built and designed concrete bowl, mini ramp and street course.

House of Vans hosts a number of events throughout the summer. They also run regular events such as SK8 FRY-DAYS, Girls Skate Night, and Bikes & Burgers.
