Skateboarding events this fall – high adrenaline levels

Skateboarding league is very interesting. There are many interesting skateboarding events during the year which should pay your attention. It is a great combination of attractiveness, danger and world-class moves and performance. Everybody who is an adrenaline junkie should visit these events and take a look at some breathtaking tricks.

 

The most interesting skateboarding events this fall

When it comes to the skateboarding events, it is a combination of a mega ramp, vert, and regular skateboarding. Here are all of the events you should pay attention to until the end of the year. Enjoy and have fun!

 

Empire Am Getting Paid – The Boardr Am Finals

The event will take place from 28th to 30th September in Montreal, Canada. There is a chance of earning 20,000 dollars price if you are successful.  The winner gets 10,000 dollars, the second 4,000 dollars,  the third place brings 2,500 dollars, while 4-10th place brings 500 dollars.

Open qualifiers on one of the most visited skateboarding events will take place on Friday – jams format, three skaters per jam. The jam lasts three minutes. The jam is scored by an overall impression.

On Saturday, top 30 will fight in the final round, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The finals will also take place on Saturday, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm – runs format, three runs. Each run lasts 1 minute. The time will be started as soon as the first trick is performed. Each run is also scored by an overall impression. The awards ceremony is set for 6 pm.

Some worldwide known names confirmed their presence – Jack Olson, Alex Dumont, Andy Anderson, Sam Lind, Zack Ferguson, Cody Cormier, Tyson Peterson…

Hot Wheels TM Junior Open, Built by Woodward

The event will take place from 6th to 8th October in Tehachapi, California. It is one of the most popular skateboarding events for kids in the world. It is both skateboarding and BMX contest.

There are three skateboarding disciplines in this competition – skate street, skate vert, and skate mini-ramp. The registration costs 40 dollars.

There are also few categories in this competition – women’s 16 and under, 10 and under, 11 to 16 and advanced 16 and under.

All skateboarding events are set for the October 8th.

When it comes to street skateboarding, there are 3 skater jams, 4-minute each. It will be judged by an overall impression. Vert skateboarding will have organized jams of 5, with four 30-second runs, and the mini-ramp competition will have the same rules just as vert skateboarding.

There will be two more additional rewards – All-Around Award and Challenge Accepted Award.

Grind for Life at Bradenton Presented by Marinela

The event is set for October 14th in Bradenton, Florida. It is an event for skateboarders of all ages and skills. The event benefits the Grind for Life series.

There will be two main skateboarding events – bowl and street.

And there will be many categories:

  • street 9 and under, street 10 to 12, street 13 to 15, street girls, street 16-29, street 30 and up and street sponsored division;
  • bowl 9 and under, bowl 10 to 12, bowl intermediate (13-39), bowl girls, bowl masters (40 to 49), bowl grandmasters (50 and up) and bowl sponsored division.

In street jams format events, there are 3 skaters per jam, 3 minutes per jam. The judges score by an overall impression. In bowl format events, there are 8 skaters per jam, 3 runs at 30 seconds each. Skaters skate in order until they fall. It will also be judged by an overall impression.

A lot of world-class elite skateboarding expects you. Don’t miss this event at all costs.

 

Woodward Riviera Maya Street Contest

The event lasts from 20th October to 22nd October. It takes place in Cancun, Mexico. The event focuses on Mexican skaters. It is an invite-only street skateboarding contest.

At 8 pm on Friday, the Street Course Grand Opening Demo is scheduled. It will be an opportunity to see some wonderful tricks. Out of all skateboarding events in North America, this one is probably the most visited outside of US.

On Saturday, there will be a street contest. The rules are clear – 3 skater jams, 4-minute each. After this is completed, top 5 skateboarders will advance to the finals. In the finals, there will three 1-minute runs, and the best run will count.

Sunday brings on a special surprise. It will draw a lot of attention. Its name is Vert Demo with Tony Hawk and Friends. It is scheduled to last from 4 pm to 5 pm.

Southbound and Down IV at The Boardr HQ: Good Times, Motorcycles, and Skateboarding

The event is set for 28th October 2017, in Tampa, Florida.

This event has more social influence and the competition is not to the fore. The fee is 50 dollars.

At Friday night, pre-party is scheduled. This is one of skateboarding and motorcycle events where friendship comes to the fore.

On Saturday, food and drink will be served whole day, just as haircuts and tattoos. There will be motorcycle and skateboarding events, but the most important goal of this competition is – socialization.

 

Andale Bearings Presents Wheelie Dope Finals

The competition is scheduled for October 28th. It will be held in Los Angeles, California.

The competition will start at 2 pm. There will be three skater jams, six minutes each. The top three competitors will qualify for the finals. In the finals, there will be an eight-minute jam.

There are outstanding rewards at this competition. The first place brings 17,800 pesos, the second place is 13,450 pesos, while the third place carries 8,900 pesos.

Grind for Life at Lakeland Presented by Marinela

The event is scheduled for November 4th, 2017. The competition is a part of Grind for Life series.

In Grind for Life skateboarding events, categories and schedule are mostly the same. Here are the divisions:

  • street 9 and under, street 10 to 12, street 13 to 15, street girls, street 16-29, street 30 and up and street sponsored division;
  • bowl 9 and under, bowl 10 to 12, bowl intermediate (13-39), bowl girls, bowl masters (40 to 49), bowl grandmasters (50 and up) and bowl sponsored division.

And here are the rules:

In street jams format events, there are 3 skaters per jam, 3 minutes per jam. The judges score by an overall impression. In bowl format events, there are 8 skaters per jam, 3 runs at 30 seconds each. Skaters skate in order until they fall. It will also be judged by an overall impression.

Exposure skate

The event will be held on November 3rd and 4th in Encinitas, California. This is the biggest women’s skateboarding event in the world. It has a reward money of 50,000 dollars. It is also a tournament which fundraises the money for the victims of domestic violence.

There are three categories in this event – 14 and under, 15 and over and pro.

There are three disciplines – vert, street, and bowl.

Depending on the competition, the regulations are different:

  • In discipline Street Am, there will be jams of 3 skaters each, 3 minutes per jam. The score is based on overall impression and a maximum of 40 skaters can participate. There are 18 skaters in the cut.
  • In discipline Bowl Am, there are organized disciplines of five. There are 3 runs, and each run lasts for 45 seconds. The skater skates until he falls, and the best result counts. A maximum of 40 skaters is allowed, while there are 20 skaters in the cut.
  • In discipline Vert Am and Pro, there are organized jams of five, four runs, and each run lasts 30 seconds. The skater skates until he falls. A maximum of 20 skaters is allowed. The best run is scored.
  • In discipline Street Pro, the course is divided into two sections. Each section counts as 50% of your final score. There are jams of three skaters each, and three minutes per jam is allowed. A maximum of 30 skaters is allowed, and the scores are based on overall impression.
  • In discipline Bowl Pro, there are organized jams of five. Four runs are required, each lasts 45 seconds. A maximum of 30 skaters is allowed, and a skater skates until he falls. The best result is counted.

Enjoy the highlight reel of the best women skateboarding event in the world. You will rarely see so skillful women.

 

Grind for Life Annual Awards at The Boardr HQ Presented by Marinela

The event takes place in Tampa, Florida, on November 9th.

There will be cash prizes and rules are exactly as in Grind for Life series. The competition is open to anyone. There will be The Best Trick contest.

The following day, 10th November is opened for free skating as usual.

 

Air+Style

And there is one extremely good competition that takes place on March 3rd and 4th in Los Angeles, California. The name says it is one of skateboarding events where you fly high.

There will be a lot of fun – snowboarding contest, music festival… This is an invite-only competition. The course is transition-based.

On Saturday, March 3rd, the competition in Best Tricks will be held. In the preliminary round, there will be 8 skater jams. There are five 30-second runs, and the skater skates until he falls. The top 8 will advance to the finals, and the judges will score by an overall impression. The finals will be performed in the same format.

There are monetary rewards as well:

  • First place – 15,000 dollars;
  • Second place – 7,500 dollars;
  • Third place – 3,500 dollars;
  • Fourth place – 3,000 dollars;
  • Fifth place – 2,000 dollars;
  • Sixth place – 1,500 dollars;
  • Seventh place – 1,250 dollars;
  • Eighth to sixteenth place – 1,000 dollars.
