Irelands Glenn Hall has reached the last 48 of the ASP contest going down in the beautiful Portuguese island of Azores! Glenn finished 2nd in his last 96 round, battled out between himself, Medi Veminardi, Jeffery Lukasik and Santiago Muniz.

Muniz finished 1st thanks to his strong finish to the round, Glenn Hall put in a consistent performance showing solid form earning him 2nd with Verminardi and Lukasik finishing 3rd and 4th respectively.

Although day 1 was only a lay day and day 2 had a small swell, day 3 continued to pick up with 3-4ft waves dishing out decent conditions for surfing. And with a hopeful forecast for tomorrow we could potentially see Glenn take advantage of some sick waves!

Tiago Pires is still the favourite to take the top prize of $25,000 But will have tough competition from Geiselman boys from the USA and a whole host of talented Brazilian surfers.

Glenn Hall goes off in Heat 8 tomorrow alongside Thomas Woods (AUS) Wiggolly Dantas (BRA) and Granger Larsen (HAW)
